Do you find yourself longing to be taught by Jesus but simply unable to attend a weekly face-to-face Bible study? Maybe it’s the demands of work or travel; perhaps it’s the collapse-in-utter-exhaustion reality at the end of a day of parenting. “Eleven28” is a Bible study in non-traditional format, designed to provide you with structured, daily individual engagement with God’s Word, on whatever schedule works for you, combined with other elements: safe, supportive interaction with other participants in a closed Facebook group, weekly FB Live sessions with the facilitator, and monthly F2F gatherings (pending social distancing).
"Jonah" Bible Study: From the Epic of Eden series, the Book of Jonah will be studied starting May 4. In Jonah we will meet a professional "holy man," a "lifer" in the faith--who has an unsettled encounter with the God he thinks he understands, a God who sends him on an assignment he doesn't want. Are you ready to encounter a God who is way bigger than we thought? Are you willing to let God be God, to move you out of your comfort zone, and to embrace the calling that just might take you to the edge of the world you know?
The most recent study began on May 4. The ladies watch teaching videos by Dr. Sandra Richter and do the study guide exercises on their own. Monday evenings at 9 p.m. Rachel does a "deep dive" on some aspect of the previous week's lesson, via Facebook Live.
